FY 2011 Budget – Tuition and Fee Increases
Tuition
- Full-time Tuition (12 to 16 hours) from $900 to $1,150 per semester ($250 increase per semester)
- Part-time Tuition from $90 to $115 per credit hour
- Students enrolled in more than 16 hours in a semester charged a per-credit hour fee ($115) for all credit hours above 16 in addition to full-time tuition
- Book rental fees - $30 per book (no change)
- Registration - $50 (no change)
- Technology fees -- $3 per credit hour ($36 maximum) (no change)
Fees
- Science Lab Fee
- $25/per lab-based science (BIO, CHEM, PHY)
- Art Lab Fee
- $50/per course (3-D Design and Ceramics I, II, III)
- Career-Technical Program Fee
- Level I (lowest cost) Programs $50
- Level II (less than average cost) Programs $100
- Level III (average cost) Programs $150
- Level IV (more than average cost) Programs $200
- Level V (highest cost) Programs $250
Note: Academic courses with labs and all career-technical programs will have separate course fees. A complete list of course fees will be posted to the college Web site or in the offices of campus Deans of Business Services.
Auxiliary Budget
- 5-day meal plan increased to $735 per semester (from $715 in FY2009 – 2.5%)
- 7-day meal plan increase to $855 per semester (from $835 – 2.5%)
Note: The 5-day meal plan is proposed for reinstatement effective Fall 2010 to better serve the student population.
Scholarships
Other significant changes for FY 2011 include the requirement that all students who receive institutional or performance-based scholarships will be required to complete the FAFSA to determine eligibility for financial aid. There have also been changes regarding stacking of scholarships and other financial aid requirements. Complete details regarding changes to the financial aid process will be posted to the college Web site and communicated to both new and returning students.
