Jackson County Campus graduate admitted to Trent Lott Leadership Institute

Allen Hamilton, a 2012 graduate of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, has been admitted to the Trent Lott Leadership Institute at The University of Mississippi in Public Policy. Hamilton, who attended the Jackson County Campus, also received Luckyday and Academic Excellence scholarships.

While at Gulf Coast, Hamilton was parliamentarian in the Student Government Association, chairman/co-founder of Students for Political Awareness, chairman of the College Republicans and editor of the student newsletter, Paw Prints. He was named to the college Hall of Fame, received an MGCCC Citizenship Award and was chosen sophomore Class Favorite. He is also in the Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges and is currently chairman of the Mississippi Federation of College Republicans.
