Business & Office Technology Cluster
Banking & Finance Technology
The Banking & Finance Technology program is a two-year course of
study designed to help present and prospective banking and finance students and
employees prepare for and take advantage of the varied career opportunities
available to them in the ever-growing field of finance.
The program is designed to provide an introduction and an overview of the
finance industry and the opportunities for the student or employee to develop
basic financial knowledge and abilities, the required competencies, and the
social skills necessary for employment in the field of finance. Financial
institutions include banks, savings and loan operations, etc.
All banking and finance technology courses (BFT prefix) are taught at night and
usually off campus. This program will lead to an Associated of Applied
Science degree. If transfer to a senior college or university is desired,
a conference should be scheduled with a community college guidance counselor for
advisement.
