Real Estate Licensure

Real Estate Sales License

Courses needed as prerequisites to obtain Real Estate Sales License:

BAD 2713, Principles of Real Estate

BAD 2723, Real Estate Law

 You must pass both of these classes with at least a C.  Additionally, you must have a Mississippi Real Estate Broker sponsor you for the exam to be taken in Jackson, MS.  The Real Estate Sales License Exam is given every month.  You must contact the Mississippi Real Estate Commission (601-987-3969) for an exam application.

Real Estate Broker’s License

 Courses needed as prerequisites to obtain Real Estate Broker’s License:

 BAD 2713, Principles of Real Estate

 BAD 2723, Real Estate Law

 BAD 2733, Real Estate Finance

 BAD 2743, Real Estate Appraisal I

 You must pass all of these classes with at least a C.  After successful completion of these classes, you will be ready to take the Mississippi Real Estate Broker’s Exam to be taken in Jackson, MS.  The Real Estate Broker’s Exam is given every month.  You must contact the Mississippi Real Estate Commission (601-987-3969) for an exam application.

Registered Real Estate Appraiser

 Courses needed as prerequisites to obtain Real Estate Broker’s License:

 BAD 2713, Principles of Real Estate

 BAD 2733, Real Estate Finance

 BAD 2743, Real Estate Appraisal I

            Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP)

                        (USPAP is available through a private provider at this time.)

 You must pass all of these classes with at least a C.  After successful completion of these prerequisites, you will be ready to become a Registered Real Estate Appraiser.  For Additional information contact the Mississippi Real Estate Appraisal Board (601-987-3969 or www.mab.state.ms.us ).
