*  The prerequisites for advanced science courses identified by an * are the completion of the following: a) minimum ACT composite of 21 on the science component, and b) completion of three high school science courses (biology or chemistry) with no grade lower than a “C”, c) credit for BIO 1134.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

A combined lecture and laboratory course providing an introduction to the geological, chemical, physical, and biological features which define the character and behavior of the world’s oceans.

Labs associated with this course contain experiments and exercises that reinforce the principles introduced in lecture classes.
